A Smart Bidding strategy where you tell Google the average amount you want to pay for a conversion, and it sets bids to get as many conversions as it can at or around that average.
Example
Meera's Search campaign gets online orders at about ₹400 each. She sets a Target CPA of ₹400, which Google treats as the average cost per conversion it aims for.
How you'll hear it
“We set the Target CPA at four hundred, close to what the campaign already does.”
Don't confuse it with
- CPA: the result you measure; Target CPA is the setting that steers bids towards it.
- Maximise conversions: no target, just as many conversions as the budget allows.
