A group of accounts that agree to like and comment on each other's posts, usually coordinated in a chat group, to push engagement and try to get the posts ranked higher.
Example
A WhatsApp group of 40 small Pune businesses agrees to comment on each other's posts within an hour of posting. Meera's comments go up, but they come from the same 40 accounts every time.
How you'll hear it
“Those comments look like a pod. Same accounts, same 'Wow' within ten minutes.”
Don't confuse it with
- Community: real followers who engage because they are interested.
