Boosted post

Also called Boost, promoted post

Social mediaTerm

An existing post on your Facebook Page or Instagram account that you pay to show to more people, set up from the app with a budget, audience and duration. It is a simpler way to advertise than building a campaign in Ads Manager.

Example

Meera taps 'Boost' on her new-arrivals post, sets ₹5,000 over five days, and targets women aged 22 to 45 within 15 km of her store.

How you'll hear it

“Let's not just boost it; build a proper campaign in Ads Manager so we can choose the objective.”

Don't confuse it with

  • Ads Manager campaign: gives full control over objective, placements and testing.
  • Organic post: not paid for.
