A measure of how much your ads changed what people think, such as ad recall, awareness or consideration, found by surveying people who saw the ads and a group who did not.
Example
Meera runs a YouTube campaign in Pune with a brand lift study. 18% of people who saw the ads remember Meera's store, compared with 12% of the control group, a lift of 6 percentage points.
How you'll hear it
“The video didn't drive many clicks, but brand lift shows ad recall went up six points.”
Don't confuse it with
- Conversion lift: measures purchases or other actions, not opinions.
- Reach: how many people saw the ad, not whether it changed anything.
