The scenario
You will work on a real business problem.
Markathon 2026 is built around a realistic client scenario: a performing-arts institute in Mumbai working to grow enrolment through paid channels. You are given the same kind of material a marketer inherits on their first day on an account — background documents, a recorded sales call, and the client’s live website.
Nothing hands you the answer. The materials contain what a real situation contains: partial information, competing priorities, and the gaps you have to reason across. Your task is to read the situation accurately and build a plan you can stand behind when it is questioned.
The scenario stays confidential during the event, and every candidate works from the identical brief. What differs is what you make of it.
Registered candidates receive the full materials bundle on Day 0.
How it is evaluated
Evaluation is live.
Markathon does not reward the longest list or the most frameworks recited. It rewards synthesis — the ability to take a messy situation and produce a clear, defensible read of it. In Rounds 1B, 2, and 3 you reason in real time: pitching your plan, running a discovery call, and defending your thinking under cross-question.
